Studio Policies

I understand this policy page is detailed and long-winded, but it clarifies what my response(s) will be in many of the possible scenarios that come with running a small business and private studio. Please know that I rarely have to enforce these but in the event that I do need too, I want to be up-front and transparent to my clients about what is expected when we begin our contractual relationship and allows you to reference this at any time should you have any questions.

Lessons may be booked in Weekly Reoccuring or Drop-In sessions.

Weekly Lesson Break Down - 30-Minute Session

• 4 Week Month - $140 (+ $20 Travel Fee per month)
• 5 Week Month - $175 (+ $25 Travel Fee per month)

Weekly Lesson Break Down - 45-Minute Session

• 4 Week Month - $200 (+20 Travel Fee per month)
• 5 Week Month - $250 (+25 Travel Fee per month)

DROP-IN SESSION 

• 30 Minute - $40 ( +$5 Travel Fee) 
• 45 Minute - $60 (+$5 Travel Fee)

Lesson Fees Cover

Weekly Lessons / Lesson Planning / Learning Resources / Administration Fees / Extra Print Sheet Music / Recording and Editing Performance Videos. 

Additional Notes

• There is NO HST on music lessons. 
• There is NO TRAVEL FEE for in studio or online lessons. 

• All monthly payments are due on the 26th of the month prior (Ex: For May, the payment would be due on April 26th)
• The invoice will be emailed to students or parents/guardians on the 20th of every month.
• Payments are to be made through E-Transfer (hello@fearlessmusicstudio.com) 
• Late payment fees may be applied to payments made after the due date. 
• NO REFUNDS on paid lessons (exclusions apply).

• All lessons are scheduled in advance and are subject to availability. 
• Students are expected to be on time. 
• If a student needs to reschedule a lesson 24hr notice is required. Otherwise the lesson will be forfeited. 

• Lessons cancelled by the instructor will be rescheduled or credited towards the next month. 
• Lessons cancelled by the student/parent without notice will not be rescheduled. 
• In case of emergency, exceptions may be made at the descretion of the studio. 

• Make-up lessons will be scheduled based on availability. 
• Makeup lessons may have to be online.

• A parent or guardian (18+) must be present during the lesson time. 
• Students must have their own instruments.
• If the instructor is late (due to traffic) the full lesson time will be honoured.
• If it is unsafe to drive due to severe weather warnings, the lessons will be held online for that day.  

• Open communication between students, parents/guardians and teacher is encouraged.
• Parents/guardians are welcome to sit in on lessons, as long as the student is not distracted. 
• Weekly homework and progress updates will be emailed to parents/gurdians.
• Questions, concerns or feedback will be addressed 5 minutes before the end of the lesson. 

• FMS wold love to showcase their talented students on their website/social media. Students, parents or guardians have the right to opt-in or opt-out of being showcased. 

• Either the student or the instructor reserves the right to terminate lessons with 1 month's notice.
